Hi Everyone,
Just a quick email to answer some of your questions / comments:
Just curious: What tools were used to produce the website?
It's Wordpress (which was already used by WSSSPE) + a theme named Evolve
Lite (which I have customized). There is some custom CSS involved.
One question, do we want to limit how much information is on the home page?
I believe we could display a static page instead -- I'll see if there's a
way to filter which posts should be publicized on the front page
Maybe it makes sense to sort the references and related material with the
> newest first.
It makes sense. I'll sort that out as soon as I can.
The home tab should not appear on the home page
Good point. Plus, it saves space. I've already removed it.
Also:
I'm trying to reorganize the information boxes, but I'm not sure this theme
allows me to enable hyperlinks inside them. I'll try to find a way (see
link below).
I'll keep a sandbox version on my personal website, so thinks don't get
broken while we're testing out ideas. You can find it at:
http://scientificsoftwaredesign.org/
As things move forward, I'll incorporate changes into WSSSPE's actual
website, http://wssspe.researchcomputing.org.uk/
Best,
Chico
